I originally posted about 53-year-old Robert Bonness here. He’s the retired Cleveland police officer who was arrested back in October for soliciting a 12-year-old girl for sex through craigslist. However, the girl turned out to be the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Bonness has pleaded guilty to 25 charges against him this past week including charges of attempted rape and child porn.

His sentencing is scheduled for March. No word on his potential sentence but he will be a registered sex offender for the rest of his life.

As I said in my original post the ad placed by the task force was probably on the casual encounters section which to this day still remains unmoderated. Luckily this was an ad placed by police but how many other ads for child sex go unnoticed by law enforcement?
