MySpace Rapist Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison:

I can’t believe it’s been a year and a half since I last posted about Ed Grimley’s douchebag cousin. I originally posted about Jason Ara Erpinar of Yorba Linda, California here. He was arrested back in 2009 for raping three women, two of whom he met through MySpace. The third was a then 17-year-old girlfriend.

This week he was convicted and sentenced to a mere 15 years. So that’s 5 years per rape for a serial rapist. Another joke sentence.

Erpinar pleaded guilty so this was more than likely a plea deal. Either stop making deals or make them with real sentences.

before i even read the article i saw that picture and thought to myself “holy shit! Ed Grimley got busted!”

This information age we live in should really be referred to as the easy-access age, since people are so trusting of these scumbags they meet online. I have been a myspace &amp facebook user for years, but I don’t even trust many of the people I know “in real life,” so I have never had to deal with this sort of thing personally. I am one of those losers who only have 20 facebook friends and 10 of those are family members. LOL But I worry about the youngsters in my family who have accounts on these social networking sites and are not monitored with them. I’m not saying that parents should lurk, reading over their child’s shoulder the whole time they are online, but at the very least, they should be sure their pages are set to private, and warn them of the danger that could hide behind a computer screen. Parents should allow their children to have some freedom, but too much freedom, like the freedom to randomly add every person who “Likes” their favorite band on Facebook, can easily turn out to be a HUGE mistake..
