Recently police in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania rescued a 14-year-old girl who was being turned out on the Village Voice Media-owned backpage.com. The teen had been reported missing from a youth facility almost a year ago when she was 13. They received a tip that there were pictures of the girl on Backpage.

Police set up a sting where they found the girl and arrested 36-year-old William Miller and 22-year-old Danielle Gianoni. Miller is the alleged pimp who is said to have told police that he had also been having sex (child rape) with the girl for several weeks. The girl said it was more like several months. Gianoni was also being pimped by Miller and by some accounts from the articles I would bet she was teaching the girl on how to be a pro. Miller was charged with statutory sexual assault, sexual abuse of children, sexual exploitation of children, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, promoting prostitution, conspiracy and possessing instruments of crime. Backpage will probably try to tell you that Miller is just an advocate of free speech.

Seriously though this is who Backpage is making money off of, 14-year-old girls that are being turned out by predators like Miller. They use this money to prop up a series of dying newspapers. And they say that shutting down the adult section of Backpage would be a violation of free speech. It doesn’t matter if the basic rights of freedom of the people being trafficked on their site are being violated though.

it should be shutdown with all the other websites that promote prostitution unless the government legalizes it and makes them pay an extreme amount of tax… it degrades women and eventually they are screwed up for life.. i feel bad for these girls.. i am trying to get a friend to stop. please help these women and help the cause

Although this story sounds pretty foul, the facts are not true. I happen to know all of the parties involved. Loca, is a stripper from Erie, PA. She came to Pittsburgh to party and do private rooms (stripper VIP rooms) in various parts of Pittsburgh along with live with her friends nearby a strip club in Homewood where she also worked.
The 14 year old girl did not actually look 14. She looked about 18 or 19 and it was not Miller who was prostituting the girl but rather Miller who was taking care of this girl (statutory rape – sick – I agree). The girl was taking care of a young child who she claimed she was related to. Her money went to her boyfriend in jail. This young girl was supporting this guy who was old enough to be her father but everyone who knew her assumed she was of age. I know other men who had sex with her based on conversations with them. This young girl told everyone she was 19 years of age. No one had any idea she was only a child except maybe Miller.
I agree that child rape is wrong and this Mr. Miller is totally wrong for what he did but I think before we start throwing stones, we should look at the Bible and the age of a man and or woman when she was considered to be an adult. The number is 13… What does all this mean? Well.. I think it is wrong to break the laws of the land. Is a 14 year old girl old enough to give concent? In this case, by my knowing this girl in passing, I would say that it is a gray area but she KNOWINGLY was with Miller. She KNOWINGLY lied about her age and she KNOWINGLY was prostituting herself. Miller was absolutely not her pimp. He was her new boyfriend and a friend of her old boyfriend who happened to be in jail.
I know. I’m a realist. Crucify me for being honest but the way I see it, Miller was wrong for breaking the law by being with an underage girl sexually. Bad judgement call IF he knew. I know he was not a pimp and the other allegations are totally untrue in the way the media has portrayed this guy. I think the news should report facts, not fiction that is fed to them by uninformed, biased parties.

  You’re either a dumbass or another pedo defender. It doesn’t matter if she looked like she was 100. She was 14. There are laws in place that say a 14-year-old can not legally consent for sex whether she wanted to or not. And let’s not forget that your friend isn’t the first alleged pimp that told one of his girls that he was their boyfriend.
