Coach blames 'soccer politics' on being arrested for soliciting a 14-year-old

28-year-old Alejandro Sanchez was arrested back in January of 2019 for allegedly soliciting a 14-year-old girl for on the social/dating app Skout. Sanchez was arrested as part of a sting that was conducted by the Contra Costa District Attorney’s office in California. Sanchez was a youth soccer coach in the area at the time of his arrest.

Fast-forward to September of 2020 where Sanchez is getting ready to go to trial. He’s said to have refused a plea deal and is looking forward to his trial where he seems to believe he will be exonerated. For you see, Sanchez claims that he knew the 14-year-old girl he was talking to on Skout was an undercover investigator, which she was. However, Sanchez says that he was just playing along because he believes he was being set up by someone because of ‘soccer politics’, whatever that means.

I’m not exactly sure how well this defense will fly in court. If someone was trying to set you up online by posing as a 14-year-old girl, wouldn’t you just block the person? Instead, Sanchez allegedly told the girl things like…

…“wear your sexiest bra and panties” and that he wanted to “make sure you remember this forever.”

And let’s not forget the ‘age is just a number’ trope…

At the beginning of the conversation, Sanchez told Emily he was 28 and asked if she was OK with the age difference.
“I’m cool with that,” Emily replied. “Are you cool with me being 14?”
“I’m cool with that,” Sanchez replied.

He would have been better off claiming entrapment even though according to investigators, Sanchez approached the girl online first.

I would have loved to have been at the attorney’s office when this defense was dreamed up.

Correct me if Im wrong, but once upon a time in the USA, crimes were “real ”, right?

Whereas today its sex chat with an internet crawling with cops who get off on impersonating horny fourteen year olds.

Or, FBI manufactured terror, where they hand a lonely autistic kid a bomb and some pamphlets.

The only people being kept safe and protected are the cops and their pensions, every time they pull these things off. But no crimes anywhere to be seen.

I hope the guy wins.

  I’ll let you in on a little secret. Police have been conducting stings for decades if not for over a century. If someone solicits someone else for a murder but no murder is committed it’s still a crime.

    yup.
    
    No argument there.
    
    The difference is that those who choose to fight speech policing and its online methodology is a nascent fight.
    
    So, currently very few ways exist to combat the rampant abuse of privacy violating police incursions into our social media and other ptivate online spaces.
    
    Texting teens for sex is abhorrent, and reprehensible. It should be punished.
    
    But police tossing due process and civil liberty to get at a guy who might give some child a thrill (and that childs parents who probably should not have been allowed to have a child )?
    
    That defies law itself.

    Let me tell you why:
    
    There is an “extremist ” faction of the FBI,that actually seeks to stalk and entrap Asian Americans of mixed race.
    
    Thats not cool at all.
    
    These,shitbags work actively to incite violence, and police pure, first amendment protected speech ”as our douchebag at hand has uttered.
    
    Do you wanna bet he becomes an informant, or in the least, provides media with yet another Asian bogeyman?
    
    Obviously, his cowardly plea deal does that, and sadly, exonerates FBI-etalphabet asshats inciting a gamer.
    
    Trevor Aaronson.from the Intercept.com documented the (typically racist ) FBI waging manufactured terrorism, via the Asian FBI many years ago.

    No, I am not happy he was convicted, because the rampant distribution of child pornography online by law enforcement agencies is despicable, and these bizarre stings only mask the “high policing ” function of unconstitutional Fusion Centers.
