11-year-old arrested for school shooting threat

An 11-year-old boy from North Port, Florida was recently arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot up his school. Now, I’m not here to debate whether or not an 11-year-old should be arrested, however, someone should have intervened.

According to North Port Police, they were called to the home of another child. The parents of this other child showed police text messages that their child had allegedly received from the 11-year-old suspect. Not only did the 11-year-old threaten a school shooting, but he talked about school shooters, Hitler, and Ted Bundy. It sounds like we have the youngest columbiner ever.

No 11-year-old should ever utter the name of Ted Bundy. This sounds a lot like someone was allowed unfettered access to the internet.

I know it’s hard to shield your kids from everything but at least put in some effort.

Now dear readers, if you think the child should not have been arrested, let me know in the comments below what should have been done.
