12/4/23: Headline: Nebraska lawmakers look at allowing more people to carry guns in schools

At least they’re only looking to have off-duty cops as guards, but again, there is no evidence that armed officers in schools prevent school shootings.

Police in Elk City, Oklahoma, found an unloaded gun at Elk City High School. A 14-year-old was taken into custody.

12/5/23: A police officer with the Austin Independent School District was struck by gunfire during school hours at the football stadium of Northeast Early College High School.

Since it’s Texas, of course the school has a football stadium. Plus, we have another high school football-related shooting. When will high school football be banned?

Even some Democrats in the Senate are against an assault weapons ban, and their alternative is even dumber than letting assault weapons be sold in the first place.

Memphis Shelby County Schools in Tennessee is investing $17 million in security upgrades.

I still find it fascinating that these schools can pull millions out of their ass when it comes to security (theater), but not when it comes to education and teachers’ salaries.
